A fantastic Italian restaurant in an easy to overlook plaza. My neighbor invited me to music bingo. It's a fun evening with good music and singing. I absolutely love the polenta. The sauce is rich and delicious with shavings of Parmesan cheese and homemade bread. The meatballs were tender, perhaps in need of a dash more salt but an easy fix at the table. The servers are friendly and pleasant. I love this restaurant and am so happy to have found it.

Back here for another Sunday dinner. Quiet and relaxing inside. Once again the food was excellent. I had the lasagna, really good. My friend had the veal parmigiana which I am told was very good too. Nice portions, good service, moderate prices. A+

Lorenzo's Ristorante Italiano is an Italian restaurant that opened in West Haven, Connecticut. It was founded by Lorenzo Coletta. Since 2009 they have been at their current location at 39 Elm Street, but they were previously located down the street at 111 Elm Street for a number of years. The menu consists of classic Italian staples including Pasta Dishes, Chicken entrées, Veal and Steak entrées, Seafood dishes, Pizza, Soups, Salads, and various Antipasti. Lorenzo's has a deli operation next door to their restaurant and they also offer catering services. In addition to their large dining room, seating is also available in the bar area, an outdoor patio, and a large banquet room that can accommodate up to 100 people for private functions. I have been to Lorenzo's more times than I can remember. I first visited them when they were still at their old location down the street. I was very excited when they moved to the newer, larger location. I happen to work in West Haven, so I have visited Lorenzo's for a variety of different work-related happy hours and banquets. I recently brought my family for their first visit to the restaurant. I had been given a gift certificate and wanted to redeem it. Although Lorenzo's has some excellent Italian entrees, we were actually in the mood for PIZZA on this particular visit. Pizza is not listed on their regular menu, so make sure to ask for a 'Pizza Menu' if that's what you want. After looking over the pizza selection, we decided to order a "Plain Mozzarella" pie, a "Bacon & Onion" pie, and the "Lorenzo's Special" (white pizza with tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, onions & pepperoni). The sauce was very flavorful and the cheese had a nice pull to it. The crust had a good balance of crunch and chew, almost like crispy Italian bread. I thought that the pizza was closer to New York-style as opposed to New Haven-style. We were all very happy with our experience and we look forward to more visits to Lorenzo's!

We love our local Lorenzo's Ristorante! This review is for their deli next to their restaurant. After running errands, I suggested we stop to get some lunch from their hot bar. As soon as you walk in you can smell and see all the food for the day's offerings in their open cases. I definitely wanted their chicken cutlets. We ordered some broccoli and pepperoni rolls. My husband ordered a few slices of pizza. Their staff quickly put our choices in the oven to heat up. Everything was still piping hot and tasty as we got home. To take things to the next level, I heated up some Rao's sauce and dipped the chicken and roll ups in them. It was amazinggggg! 5 stars!

Lorenzo's is always a go- to if we want good Italian food. I am a creature of habit and either get the shrimp scampi or sausage and broccoli rabe. My boyfriend always gets the chicken parm and is happy. We love that we can always get in, the service is always good, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and we never leave hungry. The portion sizes are plentiful. Would definitely suggest if you're in the area.
